Based
upon the ‘care farming’ model, for those people at risk
of social exclusion, the woodland will provide
opportunities to become engaged in programmes of
activity and develop a range of transferable skills
that will support their personal development. In some
instances, these will be accredited (through the Open
College Network, for example).
